Black Lair

Black Lair is an academic mentorship program for students in CS106A and CS106B. Black Lair runs multiple help sessions per week where students can come in with bugs, questions, or seeking general guidance. With 11 amazing course helpers, 24 quarterly sessions, and 200 students served annually, Black Lair works to foster a community of mentorship, collaboration, and inclusivity within the CS community.

CS Career Prep

Black in CS hosts a range of career-centered programming. This programming serves to help make students equipped for interviews, network opportunities and the barriers students may face in the tech industry. Career Prep events include Open Gym coding interview prep, company tours, and networking panels with black tech employees.

Workshops

Education is at the forefront of our organization and through a range of educational experiences we try to provide learning opportunities for students outside the classroom. Throughout the year we host workshops centering opportunities for students to learn new undiscovered skills, improve their technical proficiency, and gain confidence.
